Naples yellow tiled stove, with green looping ornaments (Gothenburg)

W 0.46 x H 1.50 x D 0.46 m, upper part 0.36 m square
2005
This tiled stove is number one of three similar specimens, and it was shown in the separate exhibition at Gallery Nääs Konsthantverk.

Images of climbing plants wrap themselves sensuously around the bodies of stoves with legs like those of small plump pugs.

The customer fell in love with the tiled stove, which has since been a jewel in his home.

The tiled stove is installed in an older house built in the 1920s next to Tollered Ström east of Gothenburg, and is used extensively, almost every day a fire is lit to reduce electricity costs and spread pleasant heat.
